True Hooker Stories

Sex Work is a hot, trending topic right now. Journalists, grad students, and everyone with even a basic opinion on the subject often feel entitled to set the narrative on their terms, though they generally lack the basic understanding that comes with doing this work.

There is an infuriating amount of misinformation, stigma, and stereotyping surrounding sex work, in addition to the current phenomenon of conflating sex work with human trafficking.

 

A major reason for this misinformation and stereotype propagation is that the stories aren't being told by sex workers themselves. They're being told by outsiders working on outdated ideas of who sex workers are.

I want to change that. So I'm telling my own stories.
